At Thermoskin®, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact while continuing to deliver high-quality performance support products trusted by professionals and consumers worldwide. Responsible packaging is an important part of that commitment.
Proud Members of APCO
United Pacific Industries (UPI), the manufacturers of Thermoskin, is a proud member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO). APCO is a not-for-profit organisation leading the development of a circular economy for packaging in Australia.
As an APCO member, we actively support the Australian Packaging Covenant, a national commitment that brings together government, industry and the community to reduce the environmental impact of packaging.
Our Sustainability Commitments
Through our APCO membership, Thermoskin® is committed to:
- Designing packaging that is fit for purpose, efficient and environmentally responsible
- Reducing unnecessary packaging and material use wherever possible
- Increasing the use of recyclable, reusable or compostable packaging materials
- Supporting clear consumer recycling information and responsible disposal.
- Continuously reviewing and improving our packaging practices in line with APCO targets and guidelines
Working Towards a Circular Economy
We recognise that sustainable packaging is an ongoing journey. Thermoskin is committed to continuous improvement and collaboration with suppliers, partners and industry bodies to support a more circular economy, where packaging materials are kept in use for as long as possible and waste is minimised.
By aligning with APCO and the Australian Packaging Covenant, we are taking measurable steps to ensure our packaging choices support both our customers and the environment.
Clear Recycling Information
You may notice our packaging displaying the Australasian Recycling Label (ARL). What is the ARL?
- The Australasian Recycling Label (ARL) is an on-pack label that helps consumers to recycle right.
- The ARL explains if packaging belongs in the waste bin, the kerbside recycling, or can be recycled by following a simple instruction. It also shows how to recycle all parts of the packaging, like the lid or tray.
- The ARL is Australia’s only evidence-based recycling label, is trusted by hundreds of businesses around Australia, and appears on more than 500,000 products.
- It’s also supported by Australian governments to make recycling easier.
Our Packaging
You will find the ARL “Recycle: Box” symbol on our supports and braces packaging. This means the packaging can be recycled as is, by placing it in your kerbside recycling bin.
You can get the latest recycling advice at arl.org.au or contact your local council.
